Punjab stands in solidarity with Palestinian brethren

Pakistani nation will always stand by their Palestinian brethren and the world powers should immediately stop Israeli aggression against innocent Palestinians including women and children.

The world powers including UN Security Council should now resolve the longstanding issues of Palestine and Illegal Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir for lasting peace in the world.

This was the crux of speech made during rallies and other function held to mark Palestine Solidarity Day announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan to condemn Israeli aggression and expressed solidarity with Palestinian brethren.

In this regard a rally was taken out in Sheikhupura to observe Palestine Solidarity Day. The rally was organised by the district administration, which was participated by people from all walks of life including religious scholars, civil society activists, students, women and children in a large number.

The rally started from Company Bagh, and after passing through Railway Road, culminated at Yadgar Chowk Jinnah Park.

The rally was led by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Asghar Joyia and DPO Ghulam Mubashir Mekan.

A large number of journalists also took part in the rally to voice their resentment against Israeli aggression

Another rally was taken out in Multan under the auspices of District Administration, which was led by Divisional Commissioner Javed Akhtar Mahmood and Deputy Commissioner Ali Shehzad.

The rally was attended by hundreds of political and social figures, including officers and employees of all departments, and members of civil society. The rally participants chanted slogans against the atrocities on Palestinian brethren.

They also carried Palestinian flags, banners and placards inscribed with slogans, condemning Israeli barbarism.

Addressing the rally, the Commissioner said that human rights are being trampled blatantly in Palestine.

Civilian population is being targeted and worst oppression and tyranny going on unchecked, he regretted, adding that Pakistani nation stands with Palestinian brethren.

Deputy Commissioner Ali Shehzad said the silence of the international community on Palestine issue is condemnable, adding that the Pakistani government will continue raising voice against the oppression of Palestinian brethren at every forum.

PTI District President Khalid Javed said that we strongly condemn the oppression of Palestine and urged the world to come forward to avert the looming human catastrophe.

Later, collective prayers were offered for safety and victory of Palestinian and Kashmiri brethren.
