ISLAMABAD – January 2 Thursday will be first day of seventh Islamic month in Pakistan, Ruet officials announced, and Muslims are excited as Ramadan is only two months away.
Top moon sighting body, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, said the crescent moon of Rajab-ul-Murjab has been sighted, on Wednesday, marking beginning of Islamic month.
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad led committee made the announcement, after receiving testimonies from all regions.
As result, first day of Rajab-ul-Murjab 1446 AH will be Tuesday, January 2, 2025 as the announcement paves way for start of this significant month in the Islamic calendar.
Ramadan 2025 in Pakistan
The holy month of Ramadan is expected to start from Feb 28, or March 1 – which is Friday or Saturday. The final decision in this regard will be made by Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
