The life and leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah were celebrated at the Hamdard Naunehal Assembly meeting in Karachi, where Ms. Sadia Rashid, President of Hamdard Foundation Pakistan, highlighted the practical lessons of discipline and integrity imparted by the founding father.
Addressing the gathering at the Bait-ul-Hikmah Auditorium in Madinat-al-Hikmah, she emphasized Quaid-e-Azam’s embodiment of unity, discipline, and faith as crucial for a nation’s progress. Ms. Rashid praised Quaid-e-Azam for teaching that a divided nation cannot achieve success and underscored the importance of unity, faith, and discipline for Pakistan’s development.
“If we adhere to these principles, nothing can stop Pakistan from advancing,” she stated, recalling how Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said was inspired by the Quaid’s character and made punctuality a key aspect of his life.
The event’s chief guest, Prof. Dr. Syed Jafar Ahmed, General Secretary of the Pakistan Historical Society, also honored the legacy of Quaid-e-Azam. He highlighted that the true process of nation-building begins in schools and noted that Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership and legal strategies were instrumental in the creation of Pakistan. Dr. Ahmed stressed that a disciplined society is built on humility, self-reliance, and tolerance, values that Quaid-e-Azam exemplified through both his words and actions. Reflecting on the contributions of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, Prof. Dr. Ahmed added that the Hamdard Naunehal Assembly tradition, established by Said, provided young students with a platform to engage with Pakistan’s history and values, preparing them for future leadership roles.
The event concluded with moving tributes from young speakers, who pledged to serve the nation and uphold the vision of Pakistan’s founding fathers. Students from Hamdard Public School and Hamdard Village School ended the ceremony with the recitation of Dua-i-Said, marking a meaningful tribute to Quaid-e-Azam’s enduring legacy.
