Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Ambassador of Qatar on Wednesday, visited the Qatar Visa Center in Islamabad.
He reviewed the progress work since the centre resumed providing services after it was temporarily closed as part of the precautionary measures to confront the spread of Covid-19.
On this occasion, the Ambassador affirmed that the establishment of Qatar visa centres in Pakistan came within the framework of strengthening the distinguished relations between the two countries, and with the aim of facilitating the recruitment of skilled workers from Pakistan.
The establishment of these centers in Islamabad and Karachi has ensured speedy completion of procedures for obtaining visas.
He mentioned that the State of Qatar desires to increase the number of Pakistani workers in Qatar, noting that Doha will bring Pakistani cadres to work on the various infrastructure projects currently underway in Qatar.
The Ambassador expressed appreciation for the Pakistani workers in the State of Qatar for their participation in the development process, stressing that the State of Qatar provides a good environment for foreign workers, and the International Labor Organization has commended the facilities Qatar grants to workers from all over the world.
It is noteworthy that Qatar visa centers in Pakistan have been provided with modern technological means that enable to perform the tasks in the best way possible, facilitate and simplify procedure and people are benefitting in an increasing number from the various types of services these centres provide.
