LAHORE – In a bid to provide easy loans to the farmer, a principled decision to establish the Punjab Kisan Bank was made, the sources close to the development said on Friday.
The decision was made in a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif in the chair.
Both Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif, the sources said, were given detailed briefing on the Kisan Package.
The meeting also reviewed the solarization of tube wells and the drip irrigation system.
