LAHORE – Police in Lahore and other cities in Punjab started a massive crackdown on people driving without licences, and it caused huge influx in traffic centres while government also stunned people with big increase in driving licences.
As people are looking for some relief, the country’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi shared new update for senior citizens and students.
On the orders of minister, senior citizens will be able to get driving licenses at comfort of their homes while students will be able to avail the facility at their colleges or universities.

In a similar development, Naqvi inaugurated Islamabad Traffic Police Mobile Facilitation and Education Service in Islamabad, introducing three mobile traffic vans to assist citizens in renewing licenses.
The new spots to issue license will educate citizens, particularly at educational institutions and on roads. During the event, he also announced plans to provide driving license services to senior citizens at home and ensure that students can obtain licenses at educational institutions, including colleges and universities.
In March, the provincial government of KP responded to demand of overseas Pakistanis by introducing an online driving license renewal service.
