KARACHI – All public and private educational institutions in Karachi will observe a public holiday on April 23 (Tuesday) as public holiday has been announced in the southern port city.
The Karachi commissioner has issued a notification for the public holiday, stating that all public and private offices will also remain closed.
The public holiday has been announced as foreign dignitaries are set to arrive in the city, as per the notification.
“In view of the visit of Foreign Dignitaries and to avoid inconvenience to the general public, Tuesday, the 23™ April, 2024 is hereby declared as Public Holiday in Karachi Division,” read the notification.
However, the essential services and officials involved in emergency duties will remain operational on April 23.
