Imran names Alia as PTI Organizer in Punjab

Following the removal of Ali Amin Gandapur as the Provincial President, major organizational changes are expected within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Sources reveal that PTI plans to reorganize its district-level committees as part of this change. According to sources, the decision for these sweeping changes was made after the alteration of the provincial president. There is also speculation about a possible reshuffle in the position of the Provincial General Secretary.

Prominent figures like Atif Khan and Arbab Sher Ali are expected to be given key responsibilities within the party. Sources further indicate that PTI is bringing in experienced members from within the party to take on more prominent roles.

Meanwhile, the founding chairman of PTI, Imran Khan, has directed party leaders to actively engage on the issue of appointing a new Chief Election Commissioner.

Sources said that Imran Khan instructed PTI leaders to consult with opposition parties to finalise a unanimous nominee for the CEC position.

He specifically emphasised collaboration with the Grand Democratic Alliance and parties under the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Ain-e-Pakistan banner.

In a significant move, Imran Khan appointed Alia Hamza as the Chief Organiser for Punjab. He also conveyed a clear message regarding the allocation of tickets for the upcoming elections: “Only those visible on the ground and actively engaged with workers will be considered.”

“I am monitoring everyone’s performance. Leaders who stand with the workers will secure party tickets,” Imran Khan said in a statement shared with PTI leaders.
