Pakistan Sarzameen Party Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Friday underscored the need for a ‘new socio-political order’ to address the lingering woes of Pakistan. Kamal said though the British rulers left from the subcontinent back in 1947, but we are still living in slavery despite passage of 73 years for the independence of the country. Earlier, British viceroy used to occupy our powers and resources and now local politicians are carrying out their legacy for their own vested interests. The country can’t run under these grim circumstances. “A new socio-political order is needed.” Kamal said while addressing a massive public gathering organized by PSP to celebrate the 73rd Independence Day of Pakistan at 5-Star Chowrangi, North Nazimabad, Karachi. Party president AnisKaimKhani, members of Central Executive Committee and National Council were also flanked with the party supremo on this occasion.Kamal posed question as to how the rights of the oppressed people would be guaranteed given the fact that census in Karachi, the economic lifeline of Pakistan, is not carried out fairly and properly. We have no differences with the state of Pakistan. We will remain loyal to it till our last breath, but, I ask conscienceless rulers to grant independence to the people from their personal slavery. Give us freedom, transfer powers and resources to the lowest level, launch the PFC Award under the pattern of the NFC Award. After the promulgation of 18th constitutional Amendment, instead of the districts of the provinces become autonomous , the Chief Ministers have become autonomous. The people are not begging for their rights but rather demanding their rights from the rulers. He said decisions of streets and neighborhoods of a city larger than 72 countries, cannot be made by sitting in Islamabad, or in a CM House.
