Protest against imposition of property tax in IIOJK

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the people of Bahu Fort, Jammu, held a protest demonstration against the imposition of property tax in the territory.

Sham Lal Basson, Corporator of Ward number – 48, Bahu Fort, Jammu, led the demonstration.

The protesting people assembled opposite the main gate of Bagh-e-Bahu Bahu Fort, Jammu, and shouted slogans against the authorities.

Sham Lal Basson, speaking on the occasion, said large scale protests are being organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jammu, Bar Association, Bazaar Associations and almost all political parties have shown resentment against the tax on both residential and commercial property.

Sham Lal Basson also condemned the statement of LG Manoj Sinha that people of the territory can purchase I-Phone and can play games but don’t ready to pay taxes. “It is very difficult for the poor families of Kashmir to make both ends meet nowadays because prices of all commodities have gone high.—KMS
