The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has termed the prevailing situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir as highly precarious with regard to the safety of the common masses.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the people are in distress due to unending cordon and search operations and house raids by Indian forces’ personnel and witch-hunt of employees, students, businessmen, journalists, lawyers, intellectuals and political activists by India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency and State Investigation Agency (SIA).

He said that the victimization of the Kashmiris for their affiliation with the ongoing freedom movement is being used as a tool of suppression by the Indian fascist regime in the occupied territory. He said all institutions have been brought under the Hindutva spectrum wherein Muslim employees have been marginalized.

The spokesman urged the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, to prevail upon India to stop its state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and allow the Kashmiris to decide their political future through a free and fair plebiscite in accordance with the UN resolutions.—KMS
