The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi workers to protest against the controversial bill bulldozed in the Sindh Assembly by the PPP, have maximized their efforts for the ‘Save Karachi March’ to be taken out on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam on MA Jinnah Road.
In this regard, the JI leadership has already devised a strategy after consultation with the local chapters. It has been decided that the JI Pakistan chief, Sirajul Haq, will be addressing the march.
Besides mobilizing masses, the JI has also decided to invite women to the protest march entitled Save Karachi March. Representatives from trade bodies, the civil society, industries and other spheres of life are being contacted in regard to the march.
The party has decided to hold protest demonstrations and corner meetings after Friday prayers — two days before the major event. Furthermore, a signature campaign has already been launched to engage maximum number of citizens and spread awareness on massive level. Banners and billboards have already been placed in this regard.
In connection with taking maximum people on board, the JI leadership and workers have been approaching people, belonging to all walks of life to invite them to the Save Karachi March.
Several other parties, including the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Pakistan Sarzameen Party and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have already approached the JI and have expressed that all the political parties in the province shared the same concerns as highlighted by the JI.
According to the JI leadership, the controversial bill has laid down foundation stone for ethnic politics in Sindh.
