PPP offers Local Govt poll tickets

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has invited aspirant candidates to get party tickets in Sindh local bodies elections till April 15.

PPP Sindh President Nisar Khuhro, in a statement issued on Wednesday, said that PPP had invited aspiring candidates for the seats of union council (UC) chairman, vice chairman and member district council from all over Sindh, including councillors of Ward, UCs, Town Committees and Municipal Committees.

Aspiring candidates can submit their applications for the position of district president to their respective districts from March 30 to April 15.Khuhro added that aspiring candidates applying for councillors of Wards, USCs, town and municipal committees will have to submit their applications with a pay order of Rs1,000 in the name of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)  Parliamentarians.

He said that aspiring candidates for the positions of the District Council, which include seats of the chairman and vice-chairman of UCs, would also have to submit their applications along with a pay order of Rs5,000 in the name of PPP Parliamentarians.He informed that the last date for submission of applications is April 15.Khuhro said that Imran Khan had lost his majority in the parliament even before the no-confidence vote.
