ISLAMABAD – Total pollen count reached 10,633 per cubic meter of air in Islamabad on Tuesday as compared with 9,488 last day.
As per the data released by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the total pollen count is 10,633 in the H-8 sector of the federal capital. Pollen concentration in G-6 was recorded at 3,750, E-8 at 3,372 and 2,060 in the F-10 sector of the federal capital.
Medical experts have advised people suffering from pollen allergy to take necessary precautionary measures due to alarmingly high pollen concentrations in all the sectors od Islamabad.
Islamabad’s most abundant pollen types are Paper Mulberry, Acacia, Eucalyptus, Pines, Grasses, Cannabis, Dandelion and Alternaria. Out of all these species, Paper Mulberry shares the highest pollen count with 9,393.
Pollen concentrations of other species are Cannabis 25 (moderate), Grasses 17 (moderate), Alternaria 33 (low), Pine 13 (moderate) and Acacia, Eucalyptus and Dandelion zero. The total pollen concentration is 10,545 which is very high.
Last day (Monday), pollen count of Cannabis was 27 (moderate), Grasses 15 (moderate), Alternaria 36 (low), Pine 17 (moderate) and Acacia, Eucalyptus and Dandelion zero.
