Salwan Momika, infamous man who burnt Quran in Sweden, ‘found dead in Norway’

OSLO – Salwan Momika, the man known for organizing public Quran-burning events in Sweden, has reportedly found dead in Norway.

An infamous Islamic critic who went viral for hosting Quran burning events in Sweden, was expelled by Stockholm, and was granted asylum in Norway.

Unofficial reports now suggest he has been found dead, while Norwegian authorities have not issued any statement on the matter. A post shared on X said the remains of Salwan were found in Norway but the post was later removed from social media site.

Last month, Momika took to social media where he mentioned arriving in Norway and was now under the protection of Norwegian authorities.

The hardliner man vowed to continue the anti-Islam movement. Momika said he is ready for whatever it may cost. He used to held demonstrations near embassies of Muslim nations to trigger people.

Sweden kicks out Salwan Momika for Quran burning

Sweden decided to expel him for received for sparking anger and criticism in several Muslim countries, leading to riots and unrest in many areas. He is currently under investigation by Swedish authorities for inciting hatred against ethnic groups in Sweden.

His actions were widely publicized in NATO member Turkey, among other countries, and reportedly contributed to delay of Sweden’s NATO membership. His cruel actions caused significant diplomatic tensions.
