Soldier Bazar Police of District East in Karachi have made a breakthrough by apprehending key members of the infamous Black Corolla gang. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East, Irfan Bahadur, revealed that Shahzad Ali, a prime suspect, was among those arrested in the raid.
The gang, notorious for targeting international burger chains across Pakistan, has been a long-standing menace in the region. Interrogations of the captured individual, Shahzad Ali, unveiled his involvement in numerous robbery incidents not only in Sindh, including Hyderabad, but also in Punjab. Shockingly, Shahzad Ali has a history of frequent arrests, with over 35 documented apprehensions in Punjab alone.
The crackdown yielded substantial evidence, including CCTV footage linking the suspects to their criminal activities. Moreover, illegal weapons, ammunition, and a vehicle were seized from the possession of the apprehended suspect, further implicating their involvement in illicit activities.
Investigations have also revealed that three accomplices of the gang are currently incarcerated in Punjab’s Gujranwala, while one, identified as Rashid, remains at large, prompting authorities to intensify efforts to bring him to justice.
