Police hospitals upgraded with modern facilities

In a meeting led by Sindh Inspector General (IG) Ghulam Nabi Memon at the Central Police Office, Karachi and Hyderabad police hospitals were equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and medicines sourced from the One Police Development Fund (OPDF). The initiative ensures improved healthcare facilities, including specialist doctors’ services, along with a 100% availability of standard medications in the hospitals.

The IG emphasized sending formal requests to the Sindh Health Department for specialist doctor appointments and ensuring necessary measures for their contractual services. Moreover, the meeting highlighted the need to enhance medical services for police personnel and their families by providing standard medical tests such as blood tests and X-rays. The gathering was attended by Additional IG Finance and Welfare Mazhar Sheikh, DIG Headquarters Sindh Zubair Dreshak, DIG Finance Zulfiqar Mehri, and other officials from the finance and welfare departments along with MS of Police Hospitals Karachi and Hyderabad.
