Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) and Lasbela University of Agriculture Water and Marine Science (LUAWMS) co-hosted a seminar on Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), the Federal Urdu University of Arts Science and Technology (FUUAST) also participated in the event.
Director General PMSA was the chief guest on this occasion, said a news release on Monday.
The main theme of seminar was “Marine Protected Areas of Pakistan: Stakeholder Debate”.
VC LUAWMS Dr. Dost Mohammed Baloch opened the proceedings while Dr. Buzdar, Dr. Mohsin and Dr. Zafarullah read papers on relevant topics. Earlier Commander Ahsan of PMSA gave a brief on roles and tasks of PMSA.
Later, PMSA and LUAWMS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the the field of marine sciences.
