Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday pledged to continue raising his voice at every forum until Indian occupied Kashmir was free adding he has given himself status of the ambassador of Kashmir. Speaking at a ceremony to inaugurate the new block of the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIK) Swabi Prime Minister also said that health and education sector topped the government’s priority list pledging his government would never compromise on the standard of education. Imran, however, sounded optimistic that Pakistan will soon overcome all the challenges it was confronted with.
Lamenting the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir Imran Khan said Quaid-e-Azam had understood the ideology of Hindu extremists and that was why he strived for the separate state for the Muslims.
“Had Pakistan not been formed, we would be facing the same hardships as Muslims in India”. Imran opined. The prime minister said that it would take time to build up intuitions which had been destroyed by corruption in Pakistan. “As we move forward, things will leapfrog as we have human capital and there is no shortage of resources in Pakistan.” He maintained.
Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated a newly constructed academic block at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology at Topi in district Swabi Monday afternoon.
The block was completed at a cost of Rs 1.09 billion. Covering an area of 162,000 square feet, the project has been completed in two years. The four-story academic block has 12 classrooms, 20 laboratories, 42 faculty offices, three conference rooms and can accommodate around 1,000 students.
The Prime Minister also planted a sapling in premises of the institute. Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood , Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan, provincial ministers and members parliament were also present on the occasion.
