ISLAMABAD – Petrol and diesel prices are slated to climb by up to Rs6 per litre for the second time in Pakistan for the next fortnight of November 2024 in today’s review.

Finance Division will announce the new petrol price before midnight today, and people are ready to face another jolt. Besides MS petrol, and high-speed diesel (HSD), other POLs like Light Diesel Oil (LDO), and kerosene oil are expected to go up.

Diesel 260-261

Sources claimed that petrol prices will rise by Rs2.50 per liter, bringing the price to Rs 251, while high-speed diesel (HSD) could increase by Rs6, reaching Rs 261 per liter.

For the unversed, these proposed hikes are based on current tax structure, and if approved, would result in higher fuel costs across various sectors.

The expected price shows tweaks in global oil markets, where MS and diesel prices moved up. The import premium for petrol has also risen by nearly $1 per barrel, which will contribute to the domestic price hike.
