PESHAWAR – Rains with heavy falls and hailstorms are predicted in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday night and Saturday with occasional gaps.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from the Arabian Sea penetrates upper parts of Pakistan.
A westerly wave will likely affect upper parts of the country from tonight.
Under these weather conditions, rains are predicted in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Batgram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Balakot, Buner, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Malakand, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Bajaur, Peshawar and Kohat on Friday night and Saturday with occasional gaps.
Heavy rains and hailstorms may occur in Dir, Swat, Batgram, Malakand, Shangla, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Peshawar and Kohat during the period.
Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 32-34°C on Saturday and 34-36°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 61 per cent.
