Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) and Paraplegic Center (PC) will make joint efforts for the rehabilitation of Persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The decision came up during the visit of PBM’s Managing Director Amir Fida Paracha to Paraplegic Center in Hayatabad, Peshawar. On the occasion, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Center, Ilyas Syed gave a detailed briefing highlighting all the rehabilitative measures for the PWDs.
Mr. Paracha, while appreciating the services of Paraplegic Center, said that it is very important to give the socio-economic rights to PWDs ensuring their mobility and enabling them to live an independent life ahead being a useful citizen of the country. Underlining the eminent services of PBM for the rehabilitation of PWDs, Managing Director PBM told the customized and standard wheelchairs, hearing aids, artificial limbs and other assistive devices are also being provided to them along with the financial assistance.
