Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) and Prime Cut Foods Private Limited have signed an agreement for quality meat production and marketing.
Dr Muhammad Amjad Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Agrotech Company (PATCO) and Muhamamd Faisal Yasin CEO Prime Cut Foods Private Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies at PARC headquarters, said a press release.
Dr Tariq Sultan Secretary PATCO Dr. Muhammad Azeem Khan, Chairman PARC, Roshan Zada, Secretary PARC and Dr Nasir Mahmood Cheema Director (Special Initiatives) PARC were also presented in the signing ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Muhammad Azeem Khan, Chairman PARC said under the agreement production of high quality meat and other food items would enhanced, adding that it would also help in provision of quality meat to national and international supply chains, promotion of research and development initiatives through public private partnership.
Purchase centers would be developed in different clusters of the country for purchase of meat animals and other food.
PARC would provide space for seasoning of animals, slaughtering animals in hygienic environment, sheds for animals on Eid ul Azha, feed and fodder for animals with five percent subsidized basis and any other support required for the success of project.
