BERLIN – A shocking incident was reported from the southwest German state of Baden-Wurttemberg state where a Pakistani family came under a deadly attack on Saturday.
Fahimuddin, a 58-year-old man, was stabbed to death while his wife and daughter sustained injuries in a knife attack in Western European country.
It has been learnt that the mentally challenged attacker stormed into the house of Pakistani-born family and killed the man with multiple wounds. His wife and 13-year-old daughter sustained injuries in knife attack, whereas the other two daughters survived by hiding.
Police later surrounded the site and gunned down the attacker. Faheem’s remains and the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital. His body will be flown to Pakistan for final rites.
This is not one attack on Pakistanis as there is a disturbing trend of attacks on Asians. Last year, Pakistani-American Dr. Talat Jehan was stabbed to death in Texas. Another Pakistani petrol station attendant was stabbed to death in a crime spree involving two teenage boys, who were arrested after a chase by police.
The rise of hate attacks on Pakistanis, especially Muslims is a concerning trend that has been documented in recent years.
