RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Army and Indonesian Armed Forces concluded their joint exercise, Elang Strike-II, at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Pabbi, the military’s media wing said.
Details shared by Inter-Services Public Relations ISPR said the week-long exercise, which commenced on September 8, 2024, marked second counter-terrorism drill between the two nations, underscoring their strong military partnership and shared commitment to enhancing counter-terrorism capabilities.
These drills focused on the mutual exchange of experience and training methodologies between the two armies, with aim to bolster the counter-terrorism skills of both forces through rigorous training and collaborative tactics.
The closing ceremony was attended by General Officer Commanding 17 Division, who served as the Chief Guest, and Colonel Budi Wirman, the Defence Attaché of Indonesia. Both officials praised the high standards of professional excellence demonstrated by the troops throughout the exercise.
The successful completion of Elang Strike-II highlights the enduring brotherly relations between Pakistan and Indonesia and their joint commitment to counter-terrorism efforts. The exercise has provided valuable insights and strengthened operational capabilities, paving the way for future collaborations.
