Pakistan, UAE signs agreement to organise date festival in October

The UAE Embassy and the Chief Executive of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TADAP), ZubairMotiwala, have signed an agreement to organize Pakistan’s first International Date Festival. Scheduled for October 24, 2024, this event will serve as a platform for global participants to showcase various date varieties and production techniques.

The signing ceremony was attended by the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Alzaabi, and the UAE Consul General in Karachi, Dr. BakheetAteeqAlremeithi. Dr. Alremeithi highlighted that this unique festival will not only boost Pakistan’s date exports but also enhance the country’s economic standing.

“This festival will be an important event for strengthening economic ties between the UAE and Pakistan, providing a major opportunity for growth in date production,” stated the UAE Ambassador. Various entrepreneurs will gather at the event to share their expertise and innovations in the date industry, offering a fresh perspective on the market.
