CAPE TOWN – Pakistan squad arrived in Cape Town from Johannesburg on Wednesday for the Test series against South Africa.

The second match between Pakistan and South Africa will start on January 3.

Earlier, South Africa leads the two-match Test series 1-0.

Talking about Pakistan’s defeat in the first Test match against South Africa, Captain Shan Masood had said that while the team put up a good fight against South Africa, they were unable to maintain control of the match.

He had said that there was a clear difference between the two teams in all four innings of the Test. He had added that Pakistan fought well but they couldn’t get a grip on the match. Shan Masood emphasized that the team needed to learn how to turn the game in their favor in such conditions.

He further stated that the performances of Mohammad Abbas and Saud Shakeel were such that Pakistan should have won the Test match.

The national team captain also mentioned that there is no issue with the standard of play within the Pakistan cricket team.
