The Passing Out Parade for Pakistan Coast Guards’ Batch 44 was held at the Pakistan Coast Guards Training Center. Brigadier Ghulam Abbas, Director General of Pakistan Coast Guards, was the chief guest, with senior officers from the armed forces and police in attendance. Brigadier Abbas awarded distinguished recruits during the ceremony, recognizing their outstanding performance throughout their training. Recruit Baber Ali, who secured first position, was presented with the ‘Director General PCG’ honorary trophy. Recruits Ishaq Khan and Muhammad Nadeem, who achieved second and third positions, respectively, were awarded medals.
Brigadier Abbas highlighted the Pakistan Coast Guards as a crucial and esteemed force, operating both at sea and on land, serving the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan. He noted that over the past year, the Coast Guards seized drugs worth $236 million and contributed Rs11.56 billion to the national treasury. Following the speeches, the graduating recruits performed a march past and saluted the chief guest.
