National Conference (NC) Vice President, Omar Abdullah, has deplored that instead of providing employment to the people in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir the Narendra Modi-led Indian government is resorting to dismissal of employees from services.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Omar Abdullah was reacting to the occupation authorities’ decision to remove four government employees, including a police officer and a senior physician, from their positions.
Omar Abdullah speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in the Beerwah area of Badgam district said the government employees are being terminated day in and day out through mere paper orders. He asked where are those 32000 jobs that Indian government claims to have provided to the youth of occupied Kashmir.
Earlier addressing a one-day party workers’ convention in Beerwah, Omar Abdullah said the Bharatiya Janata Party is encouraging discrimination against Muslims in India. He cited the recent order of the government in Uttar Pradesh prohibiting halal-certified foods in the state. He said that the BJP’s obsession against the interests of Muslims is taking a legal form.
He said that the UP government had brought a new law and according to which anyone involved with manufacturing, storage, and distribution of halal-certified products will be liable to punishment.—KMS
