LAHORE – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Tehreem Ilahi, the wife of former federal minister Chaudhary Monis Elahi including other accused in a money laundering case.
A LHC division bench headed by Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry heard the prosecution’s plea seeking cancellation of bail of Rasikh Ilahi and Tehreem Ilahi among others.
The court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Tehreem Ilahi, and put off further hearing until after the Eid holidays.
The prosecution had challenged the bails of the accused in the money laundering case.
It may be mentioned here that the LHC had issued non-bailabe arrest warrant for Tehreem Elahi for the second time as previously it had issued notices for her on February 27.
