New Egyptian envoy visits offices of Pakistan Observer Ambassador Tarek Dahroug commends Pakistan’s lockdown strategy

Pakistan has successfully tackled the pandemic of coronavirus and Prime Minister Imran Khan’s smart lockdown policy has yielded quite promising results. Egypt, too, is making great efforts and is following all the essential health guidelines and SOPs to get out of Covid-19.
This was said by H.E. Tarek Dahroug, the new Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Pakistan, during an exclusive interview with Pakistan Observer.
Ambassador Tarek who has joined the mission in Islamabad recently (March 15, 2020) visited the offices of Pakistan Observer on Tuesday and took round of various sections of the newspaper and lauded the role the Daily was playing in highlighting Pakistan-Egypt bilateral relations in various sectors. Egypt was also affected by coronavirus and there were a number of similarities in ways the two countries were tackling this pandemic, he said.
About Egypt-Pakistan relations, the ambassador said they were already very strong and there was need to further expand them in various directions.“We have to work in culture, we have to work in trade, we have to work in tourism and housing sectors and many other projects where we can work further together,” he said.
The Egyptian ambassador was also briefed by Executive Editor of Pakistan Observer Gauhar Zahid Malik and Group Managing Editor Omar Zahid Malik about the contributions of the newspaper and about its founder Editor-in-Chief late Zahid Malik who always believed in the cause of Ummah and strong relations between Pakistan and the Arab countries.
The ambassador lauded the work and prayed for the eternal peace of late Zahid Malik’s soul.
