MuttahidaQaumi Movement –Pakistan Convener Khalid MaqboolSiddiqui along with city Mayor WasimAkhtar, Aamir Khan and district chairmen hoisted the national flag in a clourful ceremony held at the party’s headquarters in Bahadurabad. Siddiqui said they were very lucky to have freedom but most unfortunate that did not value it. “Pakistan is made for a purpose. Our forefathers got Pakistan in seven years and we could not understand its purpose even in seventy years.” The MQM-P leader said for those who sacrificed for Pakistan, Pakistan is their trust. “MQM Pakistan promises to save Pakistan.” He said the party was stopped to celebrate independence. “We were not allowed to set up camps across the city. Despite this, 22 camps have been set up across the city to mark our Independence Day. We still celebrate independence with great enthusiasm.” Siddiqui asserted that not only in Karachi, the MQM-P celebrated the independence of Pakistan in full force all over Pakistan. “Today we have to pledge to fulfill the democracy in which every worker can get his due.”
