A meeting chaired by Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasser Hussain Shah was held to discuss the details of the 350MW Jhimpir Wind and Solar Hybrid Project. The meeting was attended by key officials, including Tariq Ali Shah (MD TCEB), Imtiaz Ali Shah (MD SEECA), Saleem Ahmed Sheikh (CEO STDC), and Tariq Saeed, Senior GM STDC.

During the session, it was revealed that the hybrid project, which is expected to be completed in 15 months, aims to provide affordable electricity to Sindh’s industries. The project will involve the installation of 36 wind turbines, each generating 7 megawatts of power, with a total estimated cost of Rs 120.865 billion.

The projected cost of electricity from the project is Rs 18.45 per unit. Minister Shah emphasized the urgency of starting the project and announced plans to present the project details to the Chief Minister of Sindh within the week. He highlighted that the initiative aligns with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision of providing cost-effective energy solutions and reaffirmed the commitment to fulfilling the Chairman’s manifesto through dedicated efforts.
