Engr Hafiz NaeemurRehman, AmeerJamat-e-Islami Karachi has urged residents of the city to participate wholeheartedly in the “Gaza Solidarity Night” on March 30 to express solidarity with oppressed Palestinians, women, children, elders, and Hamas fighters.
The event aims to denounce Israeli aggression and terrorism. Ahead of the event, numerous camps have been set up across the city for the “Gaza Solidarity Night” and to collect donations for the Palestine Fund.
Thousands of headbands have been distributed outside mosques, urging citizens to join the cause and boycott Israeli products. Addressing the media and activists during a visit to the Hyderi Market North Nazimabad camp, Hafiz Naeem highlighted the duty of every Muslim to raise their voice for the people of Gaza.
He condemned the silence of the international community, including America and Western nations, for enabling Israel’s aggression through their insensitive policies. The event comes at a critical time as Israel continues its airstrikes on residential areas, schools, hospitals, and refugee camps in Gaza.
Palestinians, including Hamas militants, are bravely resisting with steadfastness and courage, commemorating the historic Battle of Badr on the 17th day of Ramadan. However, Karachiites are questioning the silence of political parties and leaders on the atrocities committed by Israel.
They demand concrete action and vocal condemnation from all political factions, accusing them of prioritizing fake mandates over the plight of the Palestinian people. The “Gaza Solidarity Night” aims to unify Karachi’s diverse population, transcending political divides, to stand against injustice and oppression. It underscores the city’s unwavering support for Palestine’s freedom struggle and rejection of Israel’s unlawful actions.
