The North American Association (NAA) for South Asian Affairs has launched a new platform aimed at supporting skilled Pakistani individuals and students facing challenges in Canada and Europe. The initiative was announced during a special program held at a local hotel, focusing on the issues encountered by Pakistani youth abroad and discussing potential solutions.
Dr. Sarah Alam, Executive Director of Fusion Forum and President of the North American Association for South Asian Affairs, outlined the goals of the initiative.
“Our program aims to provide Pakistani talent with opportunities to present their research work and theses. We are organizing conferences in Canada and Europe next year,” she stated.
Dr. Alam elaborated on the difficulties skilled students face after immigration. “Individuals from Pakistan, India, Nepal, and Bangladesh encounter many challenges abroad. Our region is becoming part of the Global South, yet we do not receive the same opportunities as those from other countries,” she explained.
The event also included speeches from Consultant RehanSiddiqui and other notable figures, who emphasized the importance of providing support and opportunities to South Asian youth abroad. This initiative marks a significant step forward in addressing the issues faced by Pakistani youth and ensuring they have the necessary support to thrive in international settings.
