Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation and wife of jailed Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has hailed the Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir’s unwavering support to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their struggle for right to self-determination.

Mushaal Hussein Mullick in a statement in Islamabad said that the army chief’s remarks on Kashmir that Pakistan would continue to provide “moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmir brothers was a source of inspiration, as it would give a new impetus to the ongoing Kashmiri freedom struggle.

The Hurriyat leader went on to say that the Pakistani army chief’s assertion was a reminder to the brave Kashmiri freedom fighters that they were not alone in their just fight, as entire Pakistan was firmly standing by their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their pursuit for freedom to break the shackles of Indian slavery.

Mushaal stated that General Munir rightly highlighted that the international community’s silence about the reign of terror unleashed by Indian forces in IIOJK could not suppress the voice of freedom.

She continued that the Pakistan army chief’s remarks was a clear-cut and unequivocal message to India that Kashmir was an internationally recognized disputed territory whose final status was to be decided as per the UN agreed formula and aspirations of the people of the scenic valley.

Meanwhile Mushaal paid rich tributes to veteran Kashmiri pro-freedom political leader Shaheed Muhammad Ashraf Sehraie on his 3rd martyrdom anniversary. Shaheed Sehrai was the chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir who achieved martyrdom on 5th May, 2021 while he was in custody in Jammu jail.—KMS
