Murad orders solarization of govt buildings

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting focusing on the Department of Energy. Attendees included Energy Minister Syed NasirHussain Shah, Local Government Minister SaeedGhani, Chief Secretary AsifHaider Shah, Principal Secretary to the CM Agha Wasif, Energy Secretary Musadiq Khan, Finance Secretary FayazJatoi, and other relevant officials. During the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed the energy minister Syed Nasir Shah to expedite the solarization of government buildings, noting that all government offices operate during daylight hours. “Solarizing government buildings will reduce electricity bills,” said CM Shah. Energy Minister Nasir Shah affirmed that the pace of solarization efforts would increase in the new fiscal year.

The Chief Minister also emphasized that all government residential colonies in HESCO and SEPCO areas must pay their electricity bills. “Cut off electricity to those government residential buildings where residents are not paying their bills,” CM Shah ordered. Additionally, CM Shah directed HESCO, SEPCO, and K-Electric to reconcile the outstanding bills of government institutions and ensure payment by August.
