The Islamic Emirate’s Spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that he met with a technical team in Turkey and discussed issues related to governance. Speaking at a press conference after his visit to Turkey, the Islamic Emirate’s spokesman said that Kabul wants good relations with all world countries, including Turkey.

“We met with technical teams in Istanbul about the technical parts of governance which are normal in the world, so our government will be familiar with it,” he said.

Mujahid said appealing for humanitarian aid for Afghanistan was part of his visit to Turkey. “Some of the organizations pledged to come to Afghanistan and invest here,” he said.

The political analysts give their opinions regarding the relationship with Turkey: “Turkey has played a historic role in Afghanistan and can help this government in professionalism,” said Torek Farhadi, a political analyst. “Turkey can play a good role in governance, government-building and even the improvement of the economic and social situation in Afghanistan,” said Aziz Maarij, a former diplomat.

“The Turkish, in the past while they were here (Afghanistan) under NATO, played an important role in political and economic areas in Afghanistan and they can now also have a good role,” said Ahmad Munib, a political analyst.

Mujaid traveled from Kabul to Turkey to attend the gathering of the Union of Scholars and Madrasas (İttihad’ul Ulema). He met with a number of political parties, political figures, representatives of aid organizations and writers in Turkey. —Tolo News
