In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, under yet another ulterior motive, India is working on a sinister plan to collect computerized data of all Kashmiri youth and their properties to take away their life and land after branding them as “terrorists”. In this regard, the Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh has issued directives “for timely digitization of all records” of, what he said, all militants, over-ground workers, anti-national elements, their friends and properties across the occupied territory.

He issued these directives while chairing a meeting of all police officers at Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir, Srinagar.

The DGP, according to the police spokesperson, called upon the officers to increase focus on human intelligence besides the technical inputs and enjoined upon all the units to intensify operations in Jammu and Kashmir.

Singh directed the officers to take full advantage of the latest technology and gadgets which have been recently added to the armoury of police. The DGP advised officers to also ensure professional investigation in UAPA cases in order to ensure conviction of accused.

“He directed that those police personnel who are not following professional code of conduct or are involved in any activity that is detrimental to Police-Public relations should be identified and action against them should be initiated,” he added. During the meeting, the DGP also reviewed the security scenario in the area of operation of all SOG units across the valley and also took stock of their performance.—KMS
