APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum Advocate Davinder Singh Behal has said that life in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been made a hell for its inhabitants by the occupation forces in the name of cordon and search operations.

Advocate Davinder Singh Behal in a statement issued in Jammu said, the occupation force during the cordon of different villages get inhabitants out of their houses in the cold winter.

“The occupation forces frisk youth, practice excessive force, torture people, humiliate womenfolk and vandalize properties to pressure them to surrender and give up their legitimate struggle for right to self-determination, guaranteed by the United Nation,” he added.

He said these cowardly acts on part of India will not deter the people of the disputed territory from pursuing the cause of freedom as they have been facing this barbarism for more than past thirty years. “This brutal and inhuman behavior of the occupation forces is strengthening the Kashmiris’ resolve and steadfastness and to take the freedom struggle to its logical conclusion.

He urged the international community to take stock of the situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and come forward in a big way to resolve the dispute so that South Asia can have peace and progress.—KMS
