The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government cannot mislead the world about the prevailing grim situation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir through its nefarious tactics.
The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said the Indian authorities and media are trying to portray the participation of the people in the public meetings addressed by India’s Home Minister, Amit Shah, during his recent visit as return of normalcy in IIOJK. However, it said, the gatherings mainly comprised the personnel of Indian Army, police and other agencies in plain clothes besides the government employees.
It said that the occupation authorities had threatened the government employees for termination of their services if they didn’t attend the gatherings. The APHC said the purpose of this political drama was to hoodwink the Indian people and the international community into believing that the Kashmiri people are happy with the BJP regime. It added that under the shadow of the guns of more than one million Indian soldiers, the visit of Amit Shah was a complete failure and a flop show.
Political experts and analysts in their interviews said the Modi regime is crafting false narratives of development and progress in IIOJK to justify its illegal actions in the territory while at the same time it is peddling lies to underplay the advancement that has occurred in Azad Jammu and Kashmir since 1947. They pointed out that the RSS-backed BJP government’s 5 August 2019 illegal move has pushed the IIOJK backward in all spheres of life. The experts and analysts said the Kashmiris are not against peace and development but freeing their motherland from Indian yoke is their prime objective.
Meanwhile, the occupation authorities kept senior APHC leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, under house arrest and once again disallowed him to offer Juma prayers at Jamia Masjid, Srinagar. The Mirwaiz has been under continued house detention since August 05, 2019 when Modi government revoked the special status of IIOJK.
Indian police arrested two youth Yawar Ahmed Padder and Danish Mohiuddin Ganai in Shopian and Pulwama districts. The New Delhi-controlled State Investigation Agency along with Indian paramilitary personnel raided several houses in Kulgam, Islamabad and Shopian districts of South Kashmir, subjecting the residents to severe harassment and intimidation.
Six Indian troops were killed, today, after a landslide hit an army convoy in Ladakh region of the occupied territory.
