In order to further tighten the chokehold on those raising voice for the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people, Modi-led Hindutva government of India has authorized all states and union territories to take action against two banned pro-freedom parties based in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the two pro-freedom parties are the Muslim Conference and Jamaat-e-Islami in IIOJK.
In identical notifications, the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs said the govt directs that all powers exercisable by it under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), shall be exercised by state governments and union territory administrations in relation to these unlawful associations.—KMS
