Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member National Assembly and Federal Parliamentary Secretary Ministry for Inter-Provincial Coordination Syma Nadeem has said that the Sindh government once again turned the streets of Karachi into deadly ponds.
“After the first monsoon rains in Karachi, rain water accumulated on various highways of the city due to which the flow of traffic was severely affected. Rainwater is standing on various highways of the city.”
She said, “The Sindh government has no interest in solving the problems of Karachi. The Sindh government knows how to rob Karachi of its rights.
Where is the budget for cleaning Karachi being used? There is no sewerage system in Karachi.
Every year in the rains, the city’s gutters get boiled and the streets and the whole city is submerged.”
The MNA remarked that the Sindh government has once again not taken any steps to clean the drains.
