Federal Minister for Education ShafqatMehmood, SenatorFaisal Javedand Member National Assembly Sardar Ali GoharMeharseparately called on Governor Sindh Imran Ismail on Wednesday. Important issues, including promotion of higher education and steps taken in view of Coronavirus were discussed. The Governor said that education played a key role in the development and prosperity of any nation. “The federal government’s efforts to promote higher education are commendable. Implementation of Corona SOPS in educational institutions is essential,”the Governor viewed. Minister ShafqatMahmoodsaid that educational institutions were most affected by the Coronavirus and strict implementation of precautionary measures was being ensured in educational institutions. In the meetingwith Senator Faisal Javed, legislation, public welfare measures in the upper house and other issues were discussed. The Senator said that Governor Sindh’s personal efforts for the development of the province were welcome and with the same vision, everyone should participate in the service of the country and the nation.
