Mike Hesson praises Pakistan’s performance after Asian Games final qualification

Mike Hesson Urges Pakistan Team For Consistent Approach For Asia Cup World Cup

LAHORE – Pakistan national cricket team head coach Mike Hesson has expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance after they defeated Bangladesh to reach the Asian Games final.

Commenting on the team’s display, Mike Hesson said it was good to get back on the field after spending several days in a hotel.

“The match started late, and playing a 13-over game is always challenging,” he said.

Hesson praised Pakistan’s bowling effort and said the fielding was also satisfactory. He particularly appreciated the way the team handled pressure during the batting innings and finished the match strongly.

“Our bowling was good, and the fielding was also fine. But the way we finished the game with the pressure on us in the batting innings was outstanding,” the head coach said.

Hesson also singled out batters Hassan Nawaz and Abdul Samad for praise, saying both players delivered strong performances when the team needed them.

Pakistan secured their place in the Asian Games final by defeating Bangladesh in the semi-final. The victory kept Pakistan’s campaign on track as the team looks to compete for the gold medal.

The head coach’s comments came after Pakistan successfully navigated the shortened contest, with the delayed start reducing the match to 13 overs per side.

Hesson said the circumstances made the game difficult, but the players adapted well and produced the required performance to secure victory.

Pakistan will now face the winner of the other semi-final in the Asian Games final, with the team aiming to finish the competition with a gold medal.
