Pakistan on Thursday thumped Bangladesh by six wickets in semi-final of the cricket event to qualify for the final round at the Asian Games 2026.
The Team Green surpassed the target of 112 runs in just 12 overs as the game was reduced to 13 overs because of wet outfield.
Bangladesh had scored 111 for seven in their allotted 13 overs.
Towhid Hridoy was Bangladesh’s leading scorer, making 42 runs as his team posted 111 for seven at the end of their shortened innings.
Pakistan’s bowling attack was led by Sufyan Muqeem, who claimed three wickets, while Arafat Minhas took two wickets.
Earlier, Pakistan captain Sahibzada Farhan won the toss and elected to field first in the semifinal.
In second semi-final, Indian will take on Sri Lanka and the winner will lock horns with Pakistan in the final match.
