In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the mercury plunged to sub-zero level at most places in the Kashmir Valley and Ladakh region, today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, all places in Kashmir Valley and Ladakh region recorded below normal temperatures this season, the weather department said.
A local Meteorological department official said that Srinagar recorded a low of 0.4°C, Qazigund minus 0.4°C, Pahalgam minus 4.2°C, Kokernag 0.6°C, Gulmarg minus 3.0°C, and Kupwara minus 1.4°C.
Kargil recorded a low of minus 8.1°C and Leh minus 10.1°C and mercury in Drass, the world’s second coldest place after Siberia, settled at minus 13.2°C, the official said.—INP
