Mehdi Zaman Advocate was elected president of Peshawar High Court Bar Association Abbottabad circuit in a delayed elections at least 3 months from scheduled time as elections process was challenged by one of candidate and after battle in the High Court, KP Bar Council and Pakistan Bar Council, elections were held on Saturday and official result was declared by Pakistan Bar Council on Tuesday.

According to notification, Mehdi Zaman Advocate belongs to PPP got 303 votes against his rivals Qazi Azhar Advocate from Hazara Qumi Mahaz who secured 22 votes. Syed Hammad Shah Advocate was elected Vice President by securing 328 votes.
