Credit Card vs Debit Card

Credit cards and debit cards are top payment methods, but both cards work in contrasting ways and offer distinct features.

A credit card offers a line of credit with a predetermined limit, and consumer can spend up to this limit, and the amount is essentially a short-term loan from the credit card issuer. With credit card, you can borrow money from the bank, and need to repay the borrowed amount by the due date to avoid interest charges.

On the other hand, a debit card is linked to your bank account, and direct funds are used if you use it. Unlike credit cards, debit cards do not provide a line of credit. You can only spend the money you have in your account.
