Akhunzada Fazle Haq Mardan
In the light of the orders issued by the provincial government, a meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office to prevent electricity theft under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mardan Captain (Retired) Abdul Rehman. District Police Officer Najibur Rehman, Assistant Commissioner Mardan Ayesha Tahir, AC Takhtbhai Maheen Hassan, Superintendent Engineer Pesco Division, Additional Assistant Commissioners, Executive Engineer Pesco, TMO Mardan and other law enforcement agencies participated in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner Mardan informed the participants of the meeting about the orders issued by the provincial government regarding the elimination of power theft and Kunda culture. On this occasion, administration officers and WAPDA authority gave a detailed briefing about the actions taken against electricity thieves across the district.
Deputy Commissioner Mardan directed all the concerned officers to prepare a plan of action for immediate control of electricity theft with the cooperation of law enforcement agencies and take daily actions and register cases against electricity thieves. While the listed cases should be brought to a logical end and electricity thieves should be dealt with with iron hands.
